ProFractional uses laser energy to create thousands of

asked questions about ProFractional:
ProFractional vs. Traditional Fractional Technology:
While the ProFractional mechanism is similar to other
fractional devices such as Fraxel, it is simply put, far
superior. The difference lies in the delivery of the energy.
The ProFractional is able to penetrate deeply into the
dermis by ablating narrow, clean channels to a selected
depth.
These channels are surrounded by healthy tissue, speeding
healing time and reducing downtime. And, since heating
is limited to a narrow channel, there is no collateral
tissue heating to cause discomfort. In addition, because
these channels are ablated cleanly, almost all heated
tissue is removed, which speeds healing time.
The depth and density of these spots can be customized
for each patient. This is a revolutionary advance in fractional
technology.
What areas can be treated?
Most skin areas can be treated. Popular areas are the
face, neck, chest, hands and anywhere stretch marks appear.

What is the Pro Fractional Procedure Like?
ProFractional is an in office procedure which normally
takes 15-60 minutes depending on the condition and size
of area being treated. A numbing cream is applied in advance
to aid in comfort during the procedure. Most patients
describe the treatment as having a “warm prickling”
sensation.
How many ProFractional treatments will I need?
ProFractional is typically done in a series of 1-4 treatments,
spaced 3-6 weeks apart, depending on your needs and condition.
Improvement will increase with each treatment –
even after just one ProFractional treatment. However,
there is no need to commit to a large number of treatment
sessions. We will personalize a treatment plan based on
the level of improvement you desire. We may combine ProFractional
with a MicroLaserPeel or other popular aesthetic procedures
to further enhance your treatment results.
What should I expect after treatment?
Immediately following the procedure you can expect to
have redness and swelling and some pinpoint areas of dry
blood. Swelling usually resolves within 48 hours and mineral
make-up may be applied in 48 hours. Complete healing takes
only 1-3 days and most patients can get back to work and
apply makeup within 1-3 days after treatment. Side effects
or risks are minimal and typically involve redness and
swelling. Redness may continue for 2-7 days which can
be easily covered with mineral makeup.
What special after –treatment care will I need?
You will be given information regarding care of the treated
areas. Treated skin will be sensitive. You will apply
an occlusive ointment to keep skin moist. You may shower
the day after the procedure. Your skin will be more sensitive
to ultra-violet light after the procedure, so you must
avoid direct sun exposure until fully healed. You should
always use some level of sun protection to avoid sun damage
and premature aging of your skin.
What results can be expected?
Results are immediate and progressive. After your first
treatment, you will begin to see and feel the difference
in your skin. Gradually your skin will become softer,
smoother and tighter. Fine lines and wrinkles around your
mouth and eyes will noticeably fade as well as uneven
pigmentation and brown spots caused by the sun. Optimal
results are usually visible within 2-3 months. |
